Information about the processing of personal data

Dear PhD Student,

On our websites we use technologies that enable us to collect and proces personal data in order to register participants. Please, take a moment to read the following information.


The Regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council 2016/679 of 27 April 2016 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data shall enter into force on 25 May 2018. The RODO Regulation will apply in all European Union countries, and thus also in Poland. The introduced changes regulate the processing of data, which also affects online services run by the Faculty of Civil Engineering of the Silesian University of Technology.

Personal data

Personal data is information about a person on the basis of which it can be identified. In our case it is for example: name, surname, title, academic degree, year of study. These data can be saved in various ways, in our case in electronic and paper form.

Basis and purpose of processing

In order for the data processing to be compliant with the RODO Regulation, it is necessary to have a legal basis. In our case, we have to deal with the necessity of data processing in order to register participants, correspondence regarding the article intended for publication in conference materials and organize the stay of participants at the conference.

Your data will be processed until the basis is in existence - that is the time needed to complete the activities related to the implementation of the conference.


The administrator of your data is the Faculty of Civil Engineering.

Data transmission

Your data will be processed by authorized persons involved in the organization of the conference. The data can be passed on to knowledge of other persons related to the organization of the conference.


On our websites, we use technologies such as cookies that are used to store data enabling the operation of these services. The files are stored on your device (computer, tablet, etc.) and are sent during each visit to our website. Detailed information about these files can be found, for example, here

Your permissions

You have the right to request access to your personal data, rectify them, express objections to data processing and submit a complaint to the supervisory authority of GIODO.


If you want to agree to the processing your data by the Faculty of Civil Engineering, mark the box described as "Consent to data processing". Expressing consent is voluntary, however, its absence will prevent registration of participation.
